Two Tours and Open Venue
There will be two separate tours at 12pm and 2pm. There will be access to the chapel and crypts until 3.30pm.
David Humphreys of Architectural Conservation Professionals is giving the 12noon tour and Dr. Matthew Potter is giving the 2pm tour.
Built in 1868, the chapel is a Celtic Revival and Gothic Revival essay in design. Mount Saint Lawrence Cemetery was the primary place of burial in Limerick for all strata of society.
This fine chapel is located at a pivotal axial position within Mount Saint Lawrence’s cemetery. Limerick Civic Trust carry out ongoing restoration works from 2014.
