Finalist for RIBA Stirling Prize 2013, the UK’s most prestigious architecture prize which is judged against a range of criteria including design vision; innovation and originality; capacity to stimulate, engage and delight occupants and visitors; accessibility and sustainability; how fit the building is for its purpose and the level of client satisfaction.

The Medical School forms the eastern edge of the UL North Campus public space.

Limestone is used to represent the ‘formal’ central medical school. The central space of the medical school soars above the entry with views up to a study area overlooking the atrium, and further still to bridges and windows on higher levels.
