Build your own Limerick

Details:

Produced by: Branar Téatar do Pháisti for the Bualadh Bos Festival
This workshop is kindly shared with OHL20 by the Lime Tree Theatre, Limerick
Presented by: Maeve Clancy
Duration: 41min, 44sec.

Building:

The Crescent, Limerick City
Date: c1823

Description:

Maeve Clancy shows you examples of Georgian architecture from The Crescent in Limerick City, Bath in the UK and Dublin; showing its unique style and features. Learn how to design a house/building from that era and construct it using white card and cut black paper.

Using the techniques that built the set of Bláth (part of the Bualadh Bos Childrens Festival) for inspiration, you can make your own building.

The Crescent is one of the highlights of Georgian Limerick, taking its name from the bowed shape of two rows terraced buildings on both sides at the top of O’Connell Street, the main thoroughfare of Limerick City.

This is an engaging workshop for all the family; when you are done, photograph your work and email the photo to info@openhouselimerick.ie and we will share it on our Facebook page @OHLimerick.
