Description:

A narrated tour of the 15th Century King's Castle, Blossom Gate and the Town Walls. 

King's Castle is a tower house which dates from the 15th century, replacing an earlier structure from the 13th century. Sarah's tour opens the doors to areas of the building seldom accessible to the public.
Blossom Gate on Emmet Street, only one of five gates that remains standing of this walled town. Sarah gives an informative guided tour with access to the upper level which is usually closed to the public.

The West Walls are part of Kilmallock’s historic town defences and Sarah gives an insight into their history, significance and recent works to bring them back to being centre stage in this medieval walled town.
