OpenHouse Limerick is an architectural weekend offering the public the chance to visit outstanding buildings and spaces, and meet the people who design, build and occupy Limerick, all completely free of charge. Our vision is that, through experiencing architecture, you get to explore and understand the value of a well-designed built environment.
Our team of friendly volunteer stewards will be on hand at each tour location to assist and guide you—look for the balloons and t-shirts. Building tours are led by the architect or a person very familiar with the building. They will be sharing their knowledge and insight, but they’re keen to chat too and welcome your questions.
Most building tours operate strictly on a first come first served basis, so just turn up during the listed opening times and join the next available tour. See times and booking options for each respective venue and event. Note that the last tour will be approximately 30 minutes before the advertised closing time. You may not get to see everything, but there still is plenty to see.
All building tours, visits, walking tours, talks and children’s workshops are FREE.
A number of tours have limited space and access—please be patient and expect some queues. Some torus will require pre-booking which be noted on respective venue web-page.
Please follow the volunteers instructions in relation to the taking of photographs.
Plan Your Day: Allow travel time to venues outside the city and drive safely as some country roads are narrow.

Many of the houses are private homes so please respect the wishes and privacy of the hosts.
