Making it Happen

The Open House Limerick is run by a voluntary, not-for-profit committee, who organise the programme of building tours, guided walks, talks and other events, all of which takes a large amount of commitment and volunteer time each year.

OpenHouse Limerick is presented in partnership with the Irish Architecture Foundation and in association with Limerick City and County Council.

OpenHouse Limerick is part of the Open House Worldwide Family, which includes over 40 Open House festivals around the world.

Without the support of our funders and our main sponsor Roadstone; and all of those who give their time and facilities for free including all building owners, architects, guides, stewards, etc., we would not be able to organise this programmed weekend of events.

In addition to our main sponsors and funders, the OpenHouse Limerick weekend of events would not be possible without the support of Dennany Reidy Associates, Fáilte Ireland, Building Folk Architects, GBM Limerick, James Corbett Architects, John Elliott, The Lime Tree Theatre / Belltable,, OpticNerve, Peter Carroll (A2), RIAI, SAUL, and to the members of the public for their support and make the festival what it is.

The committee members for the Open House Festival 2021 are as follows; Austin Dennany (Chairperson), Maria Donoghue, Shane Joyce, Julie Long, Ciara McInerney, and Sarah Newell. The committee is supported by Kaya Brennan, the festival coordinator.
