Description:

Paddy Cahill (1977-2021) was a leading filmmaker of short architectural, art and urban documentaries. He spent many years in Limerick in his youth and celebrated the city in a short film Places + Spaces, made for OHL in  2013.

This programme of films explores three of his architectural projects through the eyes of the men who conceived them.

Commonspace about Neil Hegarty's 1960s Housing in Dundanion, Cork.

Circle | Square about Niall Scott of Scott Tallon Walker's Goff's Bloodstock Sales Complex designed in 1975 in Co Kildare.

Tulach a' tSolais about sculptor Michael Warren and architect Ronnie Tallon's collaborative 1798 Memorial at Oulart, Co Wexford, opened in 1999.

The screenings are introduced by architect Shane O'Toole, who collaborated with Paddy on the films.

The films will be available to watch on IFI@Home (www.ifihome.ie/)  from 9am 29th October to 11pm Sunday 31st October. Open House Limerick users will be provided with promo codes to access the material for free. You will need to create a free account on IFI@Home, sign in, click 'Rent' on the film and then enter the promo code provided. We will issue the promo code shortly. We hope you enjoy this viewing.
