The island fortress of Limerick is one of fifty six walled towns in Ireland. Walking the ancient streets and lanes, John will chronicle the history and development of major sites such as St Mary’s Cathedral, the town walls and King John’s Castle; highlighting some of the lesser-known medieval sites such as Fanning’s Castle, Drake’s Walls and the Castle Ragg.
